SLO WINE COUNTRY'S HARVEST ON THE COAST
"FUND-A-NEED"COMMUNITY GRANT PROGRAM 

SLO Wine Country has supported San Luis Obispo County non-profit and charity organizations including Womenade, Cal Poly SLO, CASA, Family Care Network, Assistance League of SLO, Big Brothers Big Sisters and SLO Hospice over the past 7 years. As part of the Harvest on the Coast Celebration (hosted at the Avila Beach Resort on Saturday, November 4th, 2017), SLO Wine Country has helped raise awareness and gift funds to local organizations with programs focused on health and human services, education, the arts and community programs that service those in need.

The application period for this year’s “Fund-A-Need” non-profit(s) will be open Monday, April 3 through Friday, June 30th, 2017.

GRANT APPLICATION TIMELINE: 

Monday, April 3rd through Friday June 30, 2017--Application period is open

Friday, June 30th, 2017: Applications must be RECEIVED BY SLO WINE COUNTRY by this date by 5pm PST.

July: Gifting Committee reviews each application and makes a recommendation for funding- Organizatìon(s) notified by SLO Wine Country at end of July/beginning of August.

End of August: Charity will submit description/info to be listed in the auction brochure

November 4th, 2017: Organization ED/Board Member/Representative will attend Harvest on the Coast as guest of SLO Wine Country and talk about organization during live auction “Fund-A-Need" (towards the end of the auction).

Organizations can complete our online application below or submit printed application via email to heather@slowine.com.
Applications must also include the following documentation:
a. Copy of tax-exempt status
b. List of Board of Directors and Officers
c. Operating Budget
d. Top Five Funding Sources
